A PART OF APRILS NIGHT

A lit candle sits
In a window of glassless panes
Fluttering like paper
In the dark december night
Sinking, fading, waning
Like the rain of april’s fright
J.P. Arham
Of all the things upon the shore
She picks the one of most importance
Holding it like velvet silk, its seams
Cascading down her fingers
Like the blood of her murdered soul
J.P. Arham
With sleep filled eyes
The explorer gazes upon
El Dorado but not in city
But in heart shining like
The sun
J.P. Arham

Today is lost in time
Enshrine in me total
Passion, hopeless power
Budding like roses
From the grave
J.P. Arham
Although she finds a lap less love
Her heart still aches for more
Yearning, burning like a black fire
Destroying all that was lost
Only to be gained again
J.P. Arham
She cries to hide
The laughter which echoes
In the cold april rain
Beating down like
A hammer on ancient
Human boards
J.P. Arham
A shattered mirror
Reflects the night sun
With milky rays
As the stardust settles
A body lies on the ground
J.P. Arham
A dark and quiet audience sits
In wait of thunderous applause
Twisted smiles sit on pale white faces
As democracy falls
J.P. Arham
An old man breaks
The social norms
Leaving a void filled
Only by chaos
While his wife cries
In pain as she remembers
Who he used to be
J.P. Arham
Some poems written by a man named J.P. Arham. I found them written on the desks at school and I thought that people would like to read them.
